Karen Philabaun - President
Karen is a Senior Anthropology/Pre-Medicine major from Edwardsville, IL, pursuing a future career as a doctor/philantropist. Her organizations and activities include Alpha Phi, Hillel, NHRI, BIOS 103 TA, Order of Omega, The Innocent's Society, ASUN, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Dance Marathon. Her favorite movie is a tie between The Princess Bride and Ghostbusters. Her pet peeve is, "I really dislike when you proceed to tell someone how awful your day was, and when you finally finish they reply with, 'Well, if it makes you feel better-' and then end with how bad their day was. Of course that wouldn't make you feel better!" Something unique about her is that she has never read a book twice.
Sarah Dickes - Vice President
Sarah is a Junior Spanish major from Sioux Falls, SD, pursuing a future career in Dentistry. Her organizations and activities include Alpha Phi Sorority, Appointments Board for ASUN, Arts and Sciences, and Student Advisory Board. Her favorite movies are Pride and Prejudice, Finding Neverland, and Anchorman. Her pet peeves are people who interupt others and slow walkers. Something unique about her is that she loves macaroni and cheese and could eat it pretty much every day of the week.
Alexa Whitefoot - Secretary
Alexa is a Junior Spanish and Psychology major from Kearney, NE, pursuing a future career as a physician assistant. Her organizations and activities include Pre-Health Club, Pre-Physician Assistant Club, Student Alumni Association, Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Eta Sigma, NSCS, Chi Omega Sorority, and University Health Center Student Alumni Board. Her favorite movie is The Notebook. Her pet peeve is when she gets stuck behind a person walking very slow on campus. Something unique about her is that if she could live anywhere in the world it would be in Guanajuato, Mexico. She says she studied abroad there and absolutely loved it.
Mike Bierle - Treasurer
Mike is a Junior Biological Systems Engineering/ Pre-Medicine major from Harrisburg, SD, pursuing a future career in medicine possibly within cardiology. His organizations and activities include The Big Event Executive Team, Biomedical Engineering Society, Tau Beta Pi, Enterobacter Sakazaki growth modeling research, NSCS, Phi Eta Sigma, Alpha Lambda Delta. His favorite movie depends on what mood he is in at the time. His pet peeve is slow drivers who don't move out of the passing lane. Something unique about him is that he is from South Dakota and has never been cow tipping.
Elizabeth Freidel
Elizabeth is a fifth-year Senior from Chamberlain, SD, majoring in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Sciences with minors in Sociology & Psychology pursuing a future career in Occupational Thearapy. Her organizations and activities include UHCSAB, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America, and the YWCA. Her favorite movie is Top Gun. Her pet peeve is when celebrities such as Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Jessica Simpson who seem believe women must "dumb themselves down" in order to be accepted by their peers. Something unique about her is that she volunteers at a summer camp for kids with Muscular Dystrophy.
Gina Hoesing
Gina is a Junior from O'Neill, NE, majoring in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science and pursuing a future career as a medical doctor. Her organizations and activities include Campus Red Cross, The Big Event, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Her favorite movie is The Goonies. Something unique about her is that she is a master wrangler walleye fisher.
Harrison Hoffman
Harrison is a Junior Biological Systems Engineering major from Colton, SD, pursuing a future career in medicine. His organizations and activities include NHRI, Pi Kappa Alpha, SAA, Biomedical Engineering Society. His favorite movie is The Life Aquatic with Steve Zizzou. His pet peeve is indicision about simple things, and something unique about him is that he is an accomplished bagpiper.

Elena Olson
Elena is a fifth-year Senior from Hebron, NE, pursuing a bachelor's of science in nursing, with a future career in intensive care nursing. Her activities and organizations include National Student Nurse Association, Student Nurse Association (Lincoln Chapter), Alpha Omicron Pi (Alumni), and Sigma Theta Tau International. Her favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice and pet peeve is when people leave laundry in the dryer for days and don't clean the lint trap. Something unique about Elena is that she loves backpacking and being out in nature and owns a soft coated wheaten terrier.

Justin is a Senior from Sioux Falls, SD, majoring in biology and pursuing a future career in medicine. His activities and organizations include Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, OASIS Tutor, Bryan LGH volunteer, National Society of Collegiate Scholars. His favorite movie is Tommy Boy, and his pet peeve is when people chew gum with their mouths open. Something unique about Justin is that he won his elementary school's second grade spelling bee.

Xiaoli is a Sophomore from SooChow, China, majoring in construction management and finace and pursuing a future career as a construction manager. Her activities and organizations include Health Center Student Advisory Board, International Student Organization, and Association of General Contractors. Her favorite movies include Hitch, Transformers, and The Queen of the Damned, and her pet peeves are bad weather and insects.
Tony Tabatabai
Tony is a Senior biochemistry major from Lincoln, NE, who is pursuing a future career in medicine with orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. His activities and organizations include Arts and Sciences Student Ambassador, Union Health Aide, NU Meds, Pre Health Club, Volunteer at Bryan LGH East ER, Volunteer at the Talking Book and Braille Service at the Nebraska Library Commission, Part-Time job at Menards as a Doors and Windows Salesman, and Research in the Plant Transformation Lab of Dr. Clemente. His favorite movie is Back to the Future and his pet peeve is slow drivers. Something unique about Tony is that he played in the 2004 Shrine Bowl Football Classic.

Kasey is a sophomore biology major from Odell, NE, who is pursuing a future career in physical therapy. Her activities and organizations include Husker Rehab & Wellness Centers Physical Therapy Tech., UCARE student, Pepsi Service Scholars T.A., UNL Pre-Physical Therapy Club, and University Honors Program. Her favorite movies are Wedding Crashers and The Notebook, and her pet peeve is being cold. Something unique about her is that she loves kids as she has 4 younger siblings.
Sasha Zheng
Sasha is a junior from Lincoln, NE, majoring in biochemistry and biology and pursuing a future career in medical research. Her activities and organizations include Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Campus Red Cross, Biochemistry Club, Honors Program, and UCARE Research. Her favorite movie is A Beautiful Mind and her pet peeves are people who drive slower than the speed limit, waiting in line for hours, and people who do not have a good sense of humor about life. Something unique about Sasha is that she can sleep in any position, in any location, at any time of day, and is able to sleep through sirens and alarms.
