Wireless Access Update

University Housing received final approval last spring to proceed with the installation of wireless internet access in all of the residence halls. This project has been a significant undertaking. We expect the ResNet wireless system to be available in most residence halls by the end of fall semester.

• Installation is complete in five residence halls. Once installation is complete, there is additional work to do to configure and test the system for use. We expect wireless to be available sometime within the first two weeks of classes in these residence halls: Selleck, Neihardt, Sandoz, Courtyards, and Village.
• There is no definite timeline for project completion for the other halls. As wireless becomes available in each hall, we will place signs in the lobby areas to let students know that the system is ready to use. Check the ResNet page at http://resnet.unl.edu/wireless_network.shtml for updates.
