 International Affairs Mission Statement

University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is committed to fostering respect for different perspectives and international competence. Many of UNL's faculty have national and international reputations and have formed strong linkages with scholars and institutions around the world.

Through International Affairs (IA), UNL brings these resources to bear on the challenges of preparing Nebraskans for life and work in a rapidly changing and increasingly interdependent world. IA is dedicated to enhancing international education within the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the State of Nebraska. Towards that end, it promotes curricular innovation and revitalization, and student international development.

International Affairs develops and provides support for international educational programs, faculty development, research, scholarship, service and extension for the University. Our programs aim to prepare an internationally competent citizenry for the 21st century. The World Campus provides overseas coursework integrated into the UNL curriculum.

We pride ourselves on the level of service we offer to students, faculty, staff, the community and the State. We also adhere to standards of quality and ethics which bond professionals in international education. Always feel free to contact us with any questions, problems or comments you may have.
