Karen has been working with international students and scholars at the University of Nebraska since 1991 currently in International Affairs at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and previously with International Studies and Programs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Karen received her Master's in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska and her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. She has travelled overseas on brief trips to China, Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong, France and England as well as within the United States, Canada and Mexico. Karen is active in NAFSA: Association of International Educators and is a member of the NAFSA Trainer Corps.
