What is a passport?

A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. A valid passport is required to enter and leave foreign countries. Only the U.S. Department of State has the authority to grant, issue or verify United States passports.

Where can I apply for a passport?

The NCard office at the Nebraska Student Union is now an authorized passport application center. Visit their website for more information http://ncard.unl.edu/passport/

More information on how U.S. citizens can obtain, replace or change a passport can be found at www.travel.state.gov.
