Am I eligible to apply?
The program is open to graduate and undergraduate students who have had at least one year of university-level study. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 is preferred. UNL graduate students may apply for graduate-level programs with the approval of Graduate Studies and their graduate committees. Nominations for placement are made to ISEP following review of applications and an interview by a UNL selection committee.
When Should I apply?
The application deadline is January 15 for programs beginning in the Fall semester. Spring semester applications are accepted from February 1 until October 1. Spring semester placements are made as applications are submitted until all places are filled.
How much will it cost?
The New Zealand ISEP-Direct fees include tuition and accommodation at the host university (excluding laboratory fees). Tuition-only fees are also available. Fees do not include the non-refundable application fee, student health insurance, travel costs, meals, passport and visa fees, and personal expenses.
Please note: In order to hold your ISEP-Direct placement, a $500 non-refundable program deposit is due within three weeks of your placement confirmation notice (PPAF), which you will receive from your ISEP Coordinator. The $500 deposit will be applied to the full program fee.
What about transportation?

What else do I need?
Passport pictures; passport and visa information; books and materials about living, traveling, and working abroad are available in the International Affairs resource center at 420 University Terrace, 472-5358.
Can I get more information?
The ISEP web-site has links to program sites. Many catalogs of ISEP institutions are also available in the International Affairs Office. Books about living and traveling abroad may be checked out of the International Affairs resource center.
Academics: Students should discuss study plans with their regular academic advisors and study abroad advisors (International Affairs) for information about study through ISEP.
