London and Paris:
a visual arts summer study abroad
|
|
Westminster Abbey, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Louvre... |
| |
These names evoke images of ages past, of powerful monarchs, wily politicians, peasant revolts, mystical rites, images of splendor and pageantry. The London & Paris Visual Arts Study Tour takes students and art lovers to some of the world's greatest museums and many of the architectural masterpieces found in London and Paris. The week we spend exploring art museums, galleries, and architectural sites (for up to six hours per day) in each city means participants have a visual arts and cultural experience which is both deep and broad. The history of art, from the ancient world to the present can come alive on this journey as we connect objects and images to the cultural events and movements which generated them.
Our centrally located hotels are close to the museums and other sites we will visit, as well as to theater, shopping precincts, and antiques markets. Six to seven hours of daily art programming allows participants time to explore on their own and take advantage of the myriad of opportunities for tourism and entertainment these cities offer.
This visual arts study program is open to 'students' of every description. There will be a limit of fifteen students so don't wait to sign on. Anyone with questions may feel free to call Sandra Williams at 472-9057 . |
