Bio
Larry Walklin started in commercial broadcasting at the age of sixteen. His background includes management as well as on-air assignments. He has been president and chair of the board of directors of the Nebraska Broadcasters Association, a member of the national board of directors of
the Radio-Television News Directors Association, head of the Radio-TV Journalism division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications and as member of the First Amendment Committee of the National Association of Broadcasters. Currently he is the chair of the media committee which controls the radio, television and photo pool coverage of the courts in Nebraska and the chair of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln curriculum committee which must approve any class offered on the campus. He was elected to membership in the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. His Ph.D. is from the University of Iowa, his M.A. from Michigan State University and his B.A. from Kansas State University.
