Native Daughters - The Carnegie and Knight foundations provided the CoJMC with a two-year grant of $250,000 to enhance our curriculum. For the first year, our faculty has chosen to focus a depth reporting project on Native American women.

News 21 - News21 is part of the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation's Initiative on the Future of Journalism. Carnegie-Knight has invested more than $11 million to bolster the journalism curriculum at 12 of the nation's top journalism schools. UNL joined this national initiative to redefine journalism education and train the journalists of the future in 2007. UNL's News21 fellows will participate in a 10-week paid summer program at one of eight incubator schools across the nation. This year News21 fellows will be exploring the demographics of a changing nation.
AUC-QU Bootcamp - CoJMC student Chris Rosacker will be travelling to the Middle East for a 3 week journalism bootcamp in June hosted by the American University in Cairo and Qatar University.
Zambia Blog - CoJMC student Nkem Kalu will be in Zambia this summer.
