Internships
The college helps UNL journalism students get internships, opportunities to put to work in the "real world" the skills they've learned in their journalism classes. Some of the really cool internships in recent years have included:
- A public relations summer internship during the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.
- A summer creative intern at Grey Worldwide New York ad agency in New York City.
- A spot on the copy desk at the New York Times.
- A summer at NBC News in New York City.
- A reporting internship at the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Students are encouraged to subscribe to an e-mail listserv maintained by the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Internships and entry-level job listings are posted via e-mail, as well as important announcements about meetings and activities within the college.
