Omaha Beef Broadcast Internship -- Deadline to apply is January 25 2008

The position provides interested and qualified candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports through our challenging and rewarding internship program. The Omaha Beef are going into their ninth year of operations and are proud of the progress and fan support they have worked so hard to garner. Your assistance and professionalism will be critical to the continued success of the team. This is an intensive experience and candidates are desired to be sports-knowledgeable, have excellent communication skills, and be computer literate.

The Broadcast Intern will work directly with the BEEF's Director of Communications and announcers as well as assist in the support of the entire BEEF staff.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Assist in all BEEF broadcasts (audio/video/internet) production by coordinating with BEEF staff, players, coaches and announcers;
2. Produce and edit game and practice video footage;
3. Help set up lighting and other equipment for production use;
4. Act as a director/producer interacting with other personnel involved with game production;
5. Find interview subjects and help create story lines for BEEF broadcasts;
6. Serve as sideline reporter during BEEF games;
7. Upload game footage to Vidswap.com and also burn to CD/DVD for coaches' use;
8. Assist in the editing of game footage and audio recordings;
9. Film and interview BEEF staff and fans during team appearances (fan gatherings, volunteer opportunities, special events, etc);
10. Assist in the creation of a recruitment video for players and fans;
11. Coordinate with B2 Networks all live game video internet broadcasts;
12. Help produce online coaches show;
13. Travel with team and produce audio and video footage from all BEEF road games;
14. Assist with video distribution of BEEF broadcasts to local media and fans;
15. Assist in all facets of fan relations-i.e. comments, requests and suggestions.

Note: Other duties include general ticket duties, advertising sales, gameday operations, and standard team operational responsibilities.

This position begins January 14, 2008 and ends June 14, 2008.
