As a Windows Live Messenger Campus Rep you have the power to influence your peers to make a difference in the world starting with something you do everyday - send instant messages.

RepNation is searching to find well-connected and tech-savvy students as Campus Reps in support of the Windows Live Messenger's i'm™ Initiative. i'm is a new program from Windows Live Messenger that shares a portion of the program's advertising revenue with some of the world's most effective organizations dedicated to social causes.

When selected as one of 70 Campus Reps nationwide to join the i'm Initiative, you are empowered to help address the issues you feel most passionate about. As a Campus Rep, you will have the opportunity to create your own marketing strategy and execution plan on your campus, providing you with valuable resume building experience, working largely around your schedule while becoming a catalyst for a truly innovative campaign.

Your key Windows Live Messenger Campus Rep responsibilities will include:

  • Drive students to download Windows Live Messenger and join the i'm Initiative
  • PR generation - letting everyone know the scoop
  • On and offline networking - spreading the word to your peers through your online social networks
  • Event management - organize and support campus/local promotional events
  • Outreach to campus/local cause organization chapters involved in the i'm Initiative for partnerships on events and projects

What you'll need to know:

  • Teams will consist of two students from each campus
  • Program kicks off mid-September and continues through the end of the semester, but the planning begins in August
  • Campus Ambassadors will be expected to work ten to fifteen hours each week
  • When to apply? NOW - positions won't last long
