NET Spring 2009 INTERNSHIPS (APPLICATION DUE JAN. 5, 2009)
NET Television in partnership with the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and with the Hixson Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts is offering a limited number of internship opportunities for majors in Broadcasting and Film.
The internships will be distributed among the three production areas and the support units at NET. The production units are News and Public Affairs, Sports and Local Programs, and the Long Form and Documentary Unit. In addition up to two internships are available in videography/camera crew and in editing.
The internships will be for a minimum of 10 hours per week and will be paid at $7.50 per hour. The selection process will be competitive involving a written application and a recommendation from a faculty member from your college.
The internships are for the Spring Semester with an option to extend additional semesters if NET, the student intern and the student’s faculty advisor agree.
To apply create a Word document based on the following format and e-mail as an attachment to Michael Farrell, TV Production Manager at NET Television. (mfarrell@netNebraska.org ). Send a copy to your faculty adviser or sponsor.
