Intern wanted for American Copy Editors Society
The American Copy Editors Society is seeking an intern to work on its newsletter and Web site generating content about issues concerning copy editors and editing.
You must be a member in good standing of the American Copy Editors Society and be currently enrolled in college, seeking a degree in the journalism/communications field. Graduates who received their degree in the past three months are also eligible.
The intern will work independently with Gerri Berendzen, ACES executive committee member. As such, the time frame and work hours for the internship are flexible though we expect the internship to span a semester’s work. The internship pays $600 ($300 halfway through the project and $300 upon completion).
For information, contact Gerri Berendzen at gberendzen@whig.com or Teresa Schmedding at tschmedding@dailyherald.com. An application is available online at copydesk.org.
The deadline for applications is Sept. 30.
