Global Innovation and Strategy Center (GISC) Intern Program

The Global Innovation and Strategy Center (GISC) Intern Program is currently accepting applications for the Summer semester for upper-level undergraduate and graduate students. Although the specific project has not yet been finalized, we are developing a list of possible projects from requesting organizations.

Due to the extended timetable required for hiring applicants, interns may be chosen before the project topic is finalized. However, because we strive to assemble multidisciplinary teams with various skill sets, selecting interns based on skills rather than just their area of study allows for a number of great ideas to emerge from different points of view in a collaborative setting. The research team is composed of 6-7 students.

We ask that applicants include:
-         A cover letter
-         A resume
-         An unofficial transcript
-         An academic writing sample (500 words or less)
-         One letter of recommendation from a faculty member in the applicant’s department of study
-         The completed demographic form

Also, applicants must be of at least Junior standing and a U.S. citizen. The Summer project will begin in May 2010, and the work must be conducted on-site in Omaha (commuting may be required).

We must have all completed applications by February 26, 2010.
