Global Innovation and Strategy Center (GISC) Intern

The Global Innovation and Strategy Center (GISC) Intern Program is currently accepting applications for the Winter/Spring 2009-2010 semester for upper-level undergraduate and graduate students. Although the specific projects have not yet been finalized, we are developing a list of possible projects from requesting organizations.

Due to the extended timetable required for hiring applicants, interns may be chosen before the two project topics are finalized. However, because we strive to assemble multidisciplinary teams with various skill sets, selecting interns based on skills rather than just their area of study allows for a number of great ideas to emerge from different points of view in a collaborative setting. Each research team is composed of 6-7 students.

We ask that applicants include:
-          A cover letter
-          A resume
-          An unofficial transcript
-          An academic writing sample (500 words or less)
-          One letter of recommendation from a faculty member in the applicant’s department of study
-          The completed demographic form

Also, applicants must be of at least junior standing and a U.S. citizen. The Winter/Spring 2009-2010 projects will begin in early January 2010, and the work must be conducted on-site in Omaha (commuting may be required).

All completed applications are due by October 2, 2009.
