Magazine internships

360 West magazine seeks two summer interns who desire real-world experience in design, fashion, marketing, media and/or public relations. Work with our editors and page designers in deadline situations preparing content for the magazine. Interact with account executives as they work with luxury clients (retail, fashion, automotive, real estate) in researching and fulfilling their clients' marketing needs. Internships are a combination of administrative and creative work depending on your skill set, aptitude and energy. Projects you will be working on include: client ads, event promotions, copy editing, editorial/ad design and photography direction.

Specific knowledge: Word, Excel and Power Point familiarity desired. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) - or other graphic design - as well as web development capabilities are a plus but not required.

Skills and abilities: Ability to take direction and willingness to learn. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as abilityto prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure. Proactive self-starter who takes ownership of a project but can also collaborate and work well as part of a team.

Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 9 am - 5 pm, for a 10-week period. Schedule flexibility possible.
