Morning Drive News Intern 6 am through 11 am daily
The intern is taught how to use the BOSS digital news system as well adobe audio editor. Also, the intern is talk then expected to carry out telephone and in person interviews for broadcast. The applicant must be able to communicate in an intelligent, insightful manner as well as ask pointed, thought provoking questions.
Specific jobs:
1. Taking in feeds from the telephone, Associated Press and ABC News Radio network and preparing them for broadcast.
2. Taking in traffic reports from Lincoln Police Department and Stock reports for broadcast.
3. Updating the KFOR Web site.
4. Training on how to write into actualities and compose voicers and wraps.
5. Covering news conferences including Lincoln Police Department's daily briefing at 8:45.
Intern must be high spirited, eat, breathe and sleep the news. Eager to take on a challenge and take direction and apply it in the spirit in which it is intended: To make you a better broadcaster! Thanks
