NOS promotional duties

June 9, 2007
Chris Moses, NOS Energy Drinks , Knoxville, Iowa

After a needed weekend off from my NOS promotional duties, I was back in action on Saturday night at the Knoxville Raceway. It was a big night for the track as Wells-Fargo had their company outing at the races. As a result we had almost 4000 employees and famalies in addition to the large number of regular fans.

Saturday's program also included two feature events for both classes of cars running so it was a great night to be there promoting NOS Energy Drinks. In addition to that, I hooked up some friends of mine who race with some t-shirts and decals. They were so excited they all wore them while working on the car, and even put some of the decals on the race car.

While this may not seem like a big deal, getting a team to wear your logos all evening, and placing them on the car is usually an expensive proposition. My friends were nice enough to do it at no extra charge to NOS other than the shirts. They told me later on that other team members were coming up and asking them if they had a new sponsor. At least they were getting noticed!

Meanwhile the NOS girls and I did our normal routine of handing out goodies and free samples to the fans and had a great time doing it. I feel like we've done a pretty nice job getting the companies name out there. I am starting to see more fans buying the product inside the races, and they're wearing the t-shirts and stickers that we give them.

Next comes the big finale to the summer, the Knoxville Nationals. We're pulling out all the stops for that and it should give me some interesting stories to write about.
