Melissa Dohmen
Marketing, Communications, and Advertising (MCA)
Melissa Dohmen chose the MCA program because she was looking to broaden her advertising knowledge and build on her marketing and communication skills after completing her bachelor's degree in Advertising at UNL. After graduating, Melissa wants to move to New York City and work in advertising or marketing. Her hobbies include running, baking, decorating/designing, playing with her dog Lars, watching The Office. Her favorite quotes are "Sometimes I'll start a sentence and I don't know where it's going. I just hope to find it somewhere along the way. Like an improv conversation. An improvisation," "When I discovered YouTube, I didn't work for five days. I did nothing. I viewed cookie monster sings chocolate rain about 1,000 times," "I am an adult. I don't have to think...or...do anything!" "What happens to a company if somebody takes a boss away? I will answer your question with a question. It's like what happens to a chicken when you take its head away. It dies unless you find a new head. I need to find which one of these people has the skills to be a chicken head," "Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, every time I try to do something fun or exciting, you make it not that way. I hate so much about the things that you choose to be," "You don't call retarded people retards. It's bad taste. You call your friends retards when they're acting retarded," all by Michael Scott, The Office.
