Elise Korte

Marketing, Communications, and Advertising (MCA)

Elise Korte is a graduate student in the Marketing, Communication, and Advertising program and works as a graduate assistant in the College of Journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Elise received her Bachelor of Journalism from the College of Journalism and chose the MCA program because she felt that it was an excellent program that offers classes in subjects she enjoys. The faculty and staff have always been friendly and Elise says this college makes her feel at home. While earning her undergraduate degree, Elise also worked at the Daily Nebraskan campus newspaper in the advertising department and developed a love for sales. Her career goals include obtaining a job in advertising sales upon graduation. One of her other passions includes singing: singing for fun, karaoke, in the shower, or competitively. Elise tried out for American Idol, however, did not receive a golden ticket to advance to the next round. She says that will not stop her from singing. "My love for singing will never be changed by American Idol. I'll continue to sing, especially karaoke."
