Friends of KRNU

Friends of KRNU is a recognized student organization created to support, promote and augment the programming, mission and activities of 90.3 KRNU, the University of Nebraska FM radio station operated by students faculty and staff in the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications. The organization was originally founded in 2001 and chartered as a Recognized Student Organization at that time but went inactive for a few years before disbanding. It is being reconstituted beginning in the fall semester of 2009. Activities will include promotion of station programming, events and activities to increase listenership and strengthen support from the university community. It will also serve to expand opportunities for UNL students interested in broadcasting through creative production, services and promotion of the radio station.
