CoJMC Undergraduate Studies B.A. in Journalism Information

Bachelor of Journalism

Here's the awesome thing about a journalism degree from UNL: it gives you a broad education AND prepares you for a job. Sure, it teaches you about journalism, but, more importantly, it teaches you how to DO journalism and strategic communication. You'll learn to improve your writing, editing, oral presentation and design in print, broadcast and interactive media. Just pick a sequence: advertising, broadcasting or news-editorial - or combine two of them to give yourself even more options.

Advertising

The advertising sequence prepares students for careers in a wide variety of communication-related areas including marketing and advertising, media sales, brand management, research, public relations and much more.

Broadcasting

The broadcasting sequence offers courses leading to a variety of careers in the telecommunications industry with a solid base of instruction in radio and television broadcasting.

News-Editorial

The news-editorial sequence offers courses in print journalism, the discipline on which the college was established. News-editorial students have taken jobs at newspapers, magazines, and other print media, including online publications.
