Scholarship

Kappa Delta is extremely proud of its scholarship program. Our Spring 2006 house GPA was a 3.392, well above the all-university average, all-women's average, all-greek average and the all-sorority average. We also had sixteen girls who received a semester average of 4.0!

Mentoring
To help new members adjust to their college classes and environment, freshman are paired with an upper classman in the house who share a similar major. These mentors help answer questions, teach good study habits and tricks and offer suggestions on scheduling, classes to take and professors to sign-up for.

Banquet
Every semester we hold a scholarship banquet to honor the achievement of girls who received at least a 3.5 semester GPA. Each girl with at least a 3.5 receives a certificate and special gift. Those with a 4.0 receive something extra special in addition. We also recognize and present certificates for the highest GPA in each pledge class, for meeting personal academic goals set at the beginning of the semester and for the most improved GPA. There is always delicious dessert to celebrate and feelings of accomplishment and recognition.

Scholarships
Kappa Delta also offers its members is scholarships. The Kappa Delta Foundation offers approximately $110,000 in scholarships, fellowships and grants to Kappa Delta Sisters across the nation in each academic year. These scholarships have been made possible through gifts, funds and bequests to the Kappa Delta Foundation. Any Kappa Delta may apply even if she has received a scholarship in previous years.

Congratulations to Bobbi Jo Laun for receiving the Muriel Johnstone Scholarship and to our alumna Torrey Lynn Janue for being awarded the Dorothea B. Cavin graduate scholarship both in the amount of $2000 for the 2005-2006 year!!
