Kappa Deltas participate in many social activities throughout the year. Socials are always optional, but are also always a ton of fun! Socials include theme parties, formals, mixers, froshes, and dinner exchanges.

Theme parties are held with one or more other fraternity or sorority. A few our past favorites include:

  • Gangster Party
  • Parochial School
  • South of the Border
  • Mardi Gras
  • Halloween Costume Party
  • Dames and Desperados
  • Crush Party
  • Black & White
Cowgirls Rachel and Katy
Our formals are always a blast as well. They are held twice a year—one in the winter and one in the spring. Each semester we pair up with different sororities and fraternities to dance the night away. Formal is a time to get all dressed up and let loose.  Formals are a great way to spend time with your date and your sorority sisters at the same time.

Mixers are a great way to get to know and hang out with different fraternities on campus. In the past Kappa Deltas have gone roller skating, go-kart racing, putt-put golfing, to the movies and much more.
Kappa Delta also sets-up dinner exchanges with the fraternities on campus. At a dinner exchange some members of Kappa Delta get to go over to the fraternity house we are exchanging with to eat dinner while some members of the fraternity come over to Kappa Delta and eat with us. This is always fun no matter where you eat at! the fraternity house we are exchanging with to eat dinner while some members of the fraternity come over to Kappa Delta and eat with us. 80's Party

What is life at UNL without an occasional Husker football game?  Each year Kappa Delta has a football block in the stadium with a fraternity to socialize and have a good time with during the games. It is a great way to have fun with our sisters as well as get to know the guys!  Often we will join the guys for pre-game food and fun before cheering on the Huskers. In fall 2005 we were excited to share a block with Beta Theta Pi. For 2006 we are looking forward to cheering on the Huskers with the men of Pi Kappa Alpha!
