When you drive by a building do your thoughts turn to its infrastructure? Are you interested in designing and building machines, buildings, bridges, or systems pivotal to our society like roadways? If you answered “yes” to any of these, this is the Learning Community for you!

You will quickly discover the value of living near others in the same courses, the convenience of living across the street from the College of Engineering in Abel Hall, and the support of hands-on activities and mentors who have successfully completed the challenging first year.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in our signature events such as Steak & Eggs—a steak dinner with the College Dean and a competition building protection casing for dropping eggs off the top of Abel Hall—and trips to tour engineering companies and organizations. For example, last year we visited the NASA facility in Houston. Courses in this community accommodate requirements in different Engineering majors. Plan to give yourself this added support!
