The Lentz Center for Asian Culture has been dedicated to the enrichment of knowledge and understanding of Asia since 1983, when it gained the approval of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. The Center was dedicated in 1986 at Morrill Hall. In 2000, when it was moved to Hewit Place. The Center was, and still is, the only museum in Nebraska devoted solely to Asian Art. At the close of the Director's Choice exhibition June 27, 2010 there will be no regularly scheduled Lentz Center Asian exhibitions.

Through exhibitions of Asian art and artifacts and other cultural activities, the Lentz Center provided our community with opportunities to gain greater awareness of Asian culture for 27 years.
