This magnificent Marble Stele, given to the state of Nebraska on its 125th Year of Statehood by the Government of Taiwan, R.O.C. on the first day of March, 1992. Nebraska is a sister state of the Province of Taiwan since August 11, 1983. The calligraphy was done by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen (1866-1925), the founding father of the Republic of China. The quotation is from Confucius (551-479 B.C.),

expressing his ideal state for human society.

A Turkish fountain, given by the Perry Branch Memorial, will soon be a welcome addition to the lobby. It's visual and audible beauty will enhance the museum's serene atmosphere.
