Interlibrary loan and Librarians help
Instead of buying every textbook I needed for classes, I would check the library to see if I could access my texts there. Even if the UNL libraries didn't have the book or the correct edition, they could still be found through Inter Library Loan. On one occasion, a librarian told me I could get in touch with Mary Cassner, the liaison librarian specific to my field, education, and request book purchases that were applicable to my area. I emailed her several times and she was very helpful.

Library 110: Finding Research & Love
I was taking the Library 110 class as was another member of my ROTC class. We were both in the ROTC study room frantically trying to finish the last assignment. This other person was not nearly as frantic as I was and I didn't understand why. After all we only had four hours until it was due and he hadn't even started. I asked him when he was going to start and he told me probably on Monday. I asked him why he would do that when it was due in four hours. The panic struck in. I had just finished my project and was headed over to the library to hand it in. I decided to offer him my help. We both came to the library, I turned in my assignment and then we worked on his. This was the first day I had met him and it because of our Library 110 class. After he turned in his project he asked me to a movie. We had so much fun looking for books together I said yes. One year later (to the day), he asked me to marry him under the arch on the south side of Love Library. We are getting married in July of 2007 and having our pictures taken at LOVE LIBRARY! Thank you for making it possible to meet my soul mate.
