About Reserves
Sometimes an entire class will need access to certain materials, either belonging to the Libraries or to the teacher of the class. The UNL Libraries provide a service by which faculty may request that these materials be available to their students in an electronic format or placed in a special reserve collection housed at the circulation desk of each library.
Items placed on electronic reserve are indexed alphabetically by department and course number and are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Access to electronic reserve materials is restricted to affiliates of UNL.
Students may check out course reserves available at the circulation desk for a limited time. This time ranges from 2 hours to 7 days to allow other students in the class a chance to use them. To determine if these course reserves are checked out, use the Libraries Online Catalog to search by Instructor or by Course.
