Liaison Services
The University Libraries has established an extensive program of liaison services to serve as its primary communication link with the academic community of faculty, staff, and students. The purpose of the liaison program is to maintain the vital two-way communication necessary to keep the Libraries responsive to the needs of the academic community, and to keep the members of this community informed of the variety of services and collections available to meet their information needs.

Library Instruction 110 (LI110)
Library 110 is a one-credit hour class designed to teach basic information skills to incoming freshmen and transfer students. The course will familiarize students with electronic resources as well as introduce them to library services and resources at UNL.

Library Use Instruction
At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University Libraries serves the information literacy needs of its students, staff and faculty, as well as the community at large, by providing a variety of instructional services. Such instruction is based upon the belief that information seeking is an essential skill for life-long learning which can be learned and improved throughout a person's educational and professional career.
