We have a number of students majoring and minoring in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, many of whom have won national awards and have gone on to excellent graduate programs. A number of our majors and minors have participated in the UCARE program with our program faculty.
The program also sponsors an undergraduate contest for both research essays and creative projects.
Lindsay Kerns worked with Professor Carole Levin to create a play, screenplay, and short film on 18th century female pirate Mary Anne Talbot.
Medieval and Renaissance minor Kaley Smith worked with Professors Julia Schleck, Carole Levin, and Ian Borden to direct opera scenes from Shakespeare for her senior thesis.
