Xiangxin Rui is
from Yangzhou, China. He recieved his B.E. and M.S. in Materials
Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China.
Currently he is working towards his Ph.D. His current project is
high performance magnetic materials. In his free time he enjoys
table tennis, fishing, and is a car enthusiast.

Joe Abdelmesih
is from Cairo, Egypt. He recieved his Bachelors in Industrial
and Material Engineering from American University in Cairo. Currently,
he is persuing his Masters Degree in Metallurgy. His research
is hydrogen storage in nano structured alloys using rapid solidification
and laser ablation. In his free time he enjoys weight lifting,
watching movies, and outdoor activities with his wife. |

Rama Santhosh Kiran Valiveti is from Vizag,
India. He has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Currently, he is
pursuing his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His research
is related to the study of microstructures in rare earth elements.
He enjoys trekking, biking, soccer, basketball, traveling, and
making new friends.

Shampa Aich is
from Calcutta, India. She received a Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical
Engineering from Calcutta University, one Masters Degree in Metallurgical
Engineering (Industrial Metallurgy) from Jadavpur University, and
another M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering (Physical Metallurgy)
from University of Utah. Very recently she finished her Ph.D Degree
in Materials and Chemical Engineering from University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Her Ph.D research was focused on crystal structure, microstructure,
and magnetic properties of SmCo based permanent magnets. Currently
she is working as a post-doctoral research associate at the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her research is related to synthesis and characterization
of boron-carbide thin films. She enjoys singing, listening to music,
swimming, badminton, travelling, and making new friends.

Manoj Dhulipala is from Hyderabad, India. He
has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal
Nehru Technological University. Currently, he is pursuing his
Masters Degree in Design/Control Systems. His research is related
to nano-motion annealing of material ribbons. He enjoys following
Formula One racing and playing sports such as: tennis, soccer,
volleyball, and cricket.

Clement
Baudet is from Rouen, France. He completed his Masters
coursework at Universitiy of Rouen. Currently, he is an exchange
student doing research to finalize his Masters Degree. His research
is to improve magnetic properties of the SmCo alloy by adding a
third element. He enjoys riding motorcycles, and sports such as:
swimming, ice hockey, and squash. |

Pam Rasmussen is a teacher at Raymond Central
High School. She teaches chemistry, physics, and 9th grade science.
Her research is supported by MRSEC teacher outreach which is
an opportunity for high school teachers to participate in nano-materials
research. Experinces taken back to the classroom enlighten students
to the possibilities of materials research. She enjoys reading,
camping, and golf in her free time.

Jared Goertzen is
from Lincoln, NE. He is currently studying for his Bachelors Degree
in Mechanical Engineering. He helps graduate students with some
of their research projects as well as developing websites when
not working on his own research project. As a hobby, he enjoys
making websites and print work. Some sports he likes to play are
soccer, ice hockey, and tennis. |
