Mark Marcuson Murals

Mark Marcuson is a Nebraska artist whose exceptional murals illustrate prehistoric landscapes throughout the newly renovated exhibits in Morrill Hall.

This floor to ceiling mural depicts springtime on the Platte River. Imperial Mammoths are shedding their heavy winter coats and the river is swollen with meltwater. Sandhill Cranes take flight as the mammoths stride onto the sandbar.
