Born in Johannesburg, South
Africa, Glene has always been fond of
nature but didn't get acquainted to entomology until she took
her first
entomology courses at the University of Texas at Austin. Her
interest
in scarabs began as she conducted informal dung beetle surveys.
Although primarily interested in systematics and taxonomy,
she pursued a Master's Degree at Texas A&M University working
on pecan weevil
population genetics. She is currently a Ph.D. student at The
Ohio State University, where she will be investigating evolutionary
trends of
myrmecophily within the Cremastocheilini, and in particular,
Cremastocheilus. |
