Shinya Kawai

I am a coleopterist in Tokyo, Japan. My interest in Scarabaeoidea is primarily the coprophagous groups and Lucanidae, with a special interest on world Trogidae, world Phanaeini, some groups of Aphodiinae and small lucanids. I am happy to make exchanges if anyone has interesting material. I can supply most Japanese coprophagous Scarabaeoidea, Lucanidae, many world Trogidae, and Phanaeini, and possible Asian (or world) Scarabaeoidea (or other families of Coleoptera) in exchange.

I am a member of following societies: The Japanese Society of Scarabaeoideans (Tokyo); The Japanese Society of Coleopterology (Tokyo); and The Japan Coleopterological Society (Osaka). I am Secretary of the Japanese Society of Scarabaeoideans, and our society is open for all Scarab workers, so if anyone wants to join or subscribe our journals, please email me. We are publishing the journal "KOGANE" (in English) once a year, which contains taxonomic papers of world Scarabaeoidea, and "Saikaku-Tsushin" (in Japanese) twice a year.
