The UNL Opera and Chamber Orchestra is a highly select instrumental ensemble which provides accompaniment to two productions of the UNL Opera Program annually, and which performs virtuoso concert repertoire of the 18th through 21st centuries for smaller orchestral forces. The ensemble follows a rehearsal schedule approximating that of professional ensembles, preparing its performances in a small number of intensive rehearsals. Thanks to a generous gift to the UNL Opera Program by James and Rhonda Seacrest, members of the Opera and Chamber Orchestra receive a monetary honorarium for each semester of participation.

Membership in the Opera and Chamber Orchestra is determined by audition each semester. Audition music and schedule information can be obtained from Tyler White (402-472-7698, twhite1@unl.edu).
