What is Freshman Connection?

We're a community of freshmen, just like you! We desire to know more about God, love to have fun, and work to build authentic Christ-centered relationships with other freshmen.

The cool thing is - you don't have to know anything about God to join us!

Some of us have known God for just a little while, some for a long time, and others are trying to understand who God is for the first time. One thing characterizes all of us - we're all simply searching to discover who God is and how we can better relate with Him!

What do we do?

We get together with other freshmen men or women once a week for Freshman Connection. Freshman Connection meets almost every Tuesday night at 6:30PM in the Presidential dining room of the Selleck cafetera for freshmen fellowship, praise & worship, student life stories, fun activities and occasional workshops. Afterwards, we break up into smaller groups with other freshmen who live in our hall to study what the Bible says about God.

We have fun! Whether it's wading through the river at the Island Party, swing dancing at the Barn Dance, camping and bouldering in the Rockies, dressing up for theme parties and the formal, kicking around the soccer ball, or playing cards at a downtown coffee house - you won't be bored hanging out with us! We also have fun nights throughout the semester just for the freshmen in our ministry - trust us, you'll have a great time and will meet lots of other freshmen!

We join in fellowship with the other Navigator students for NavNite, our large group meeting. NavNites are almost every Thursday night at 7:00PM in the Nebraska Union. NavNite features Christ-centered fellowship, our very own praise & worship band, relevant messages, prayer, skits, student life stories, and occasional workshops. Afterwards, we have parties and activities to help you meet other students from around campus and simply have a great time on a Friday night! Check out the schedule for more information!

We have occasional workshops offered to address your specific freshmen needs. We want to help you succeed in every area of your life!

How do I get involved?

We would love to have you involved in our community! The easiest way to get involved in the freshmen community and Bible study is to come join us at Freshman Connection Tuesday nights at 6:30pm in the Presidential dining room of the Selleck cafetera!

Coming to Nav Nite is another great way to get involved with The Navigators! Nav Nites are almost every Thursday night at 7:00pm in the Nebraska Union.

To find out more about Freshman Connection contact one of The Navigators in your residence hall, or e-mail us and we'll hook you up with the appropriate Freshman Connection staff person.
