New to UNL? Check out The Navigators at Big Red Welcome!!!

Big Red Welcome is a huge street festival sponsored by the university featuring hundreds of organizations (including The Navigators), vendors, bands and tons of free giveaways. Everything begins after the conclusion of the Chancellor's Convocation on the Sunday before classes in the Fall (circa 6:00pm). The street fair is held in the horseshoe south of the Coliseum.

The Island Party is held each year in the early fall. It provides an opportunity for students to get together and have fun, food, and fire on a Platte river sandbar. You can't go wrong playing sand volleyball and frisbee, eating hotdogs and smores, hanging out by the bonfire and having a great time!

Everyone is invited, and for the low cost of $5 which includes the cost of food for the evening. Bring lots of friends!

What should you bring?

• sweatshirt/jacket
• blanket
• extra clothes and shoes (in case you get wet!)
• flashlight
• Freshmen: bring sleeping bags, flashlights, Bible, and tents if you have one, because you will camp out on the island for the night! Breakfast will also be provided.

Main Event is a gathering of over 1200 college students from across the midwest with the purpose of "bringing glory to God by providing an opportunity for college students to come face to face with Jesus Christ, so that they might know Him. Main Event takes place in October.

Get ready to do-si-doe and swing your partner! Yee-haw!

The Barn Dance is held each fall and is a chance to learn some new dance moves, do some square dancing, and have a great time!

Join us the Friday before Valentine's Day for this classic Nav party! There will be singles and couples sharing about their relationships (or lack thereof), as well as lots of coffee, fellowship, music and dancing!

You, a life-size wooden cross, and the attention of campus. Now that's a public statement of your faith!

Join us Good Friday, the Friday before Easter, to remind campus of the day Christ died for our sins. You will never see Easter the same again!
