Research Interests

We are performing first-principle theoretical studies of interfaces and tunnel junctions composed of multiferroic components. Properties being studied are magnetoelectric effect, magnetoresistance, and magnetic anisptropy associated with surfaces, interfaces and tunnel junctions as funcitonsof the applied electric and magnetice fields and reversal of the electric polarization of the ferroelectric barriers. Our research has resulted in lots of exciting results with significant implications for future nanotechnology devices as indicated by the following list of recent publications.
