Katherine L. Walter, Chair of the Special Collections & Preservation Department at the University ofNebraska-Lincoln and Project Director, has been involved with the Project since July 1992. She has a BA and MA from the University of Iowa, but married a Nebraskan, who incidentally edits a newspaper. Walter also has a college age daughter, 2 cats and is a professor in the Libraries. Andrea Faling, State Archivist, is the Associate Director of theLibrary/Archives of the Nebraska State Historical Society, whose microfilm collection of Nebraska newspapers is the core of the Nebraska Newspaper Project. She has been involved with the Project since July 1992. Andrea earned a BA in American studies from Knox College (Galesburg, Ill.) in 1977, an MA degree in historical administration from Eastern Illinois University in 1979, and an MLS from Emporia State University in 1994. She is an expert on film history and baseball. Her favorite team is her hometown St. Louis Cardinals, but she has season tickets to the Lincoln Saltdogs.
