STEPS FOR APPLYING TO THE CONSORTIUM:
- MUST Complete the AAPI Application for Psychology Internship
in full. The on-line application is
available on the APPIC Web site: www.appic.org/match/5_3_match_application.html.
-
In one cover letter, please explain why you are applying to each of the sites that you have selected.
-
Please upload three letters of recommendation and address them to the Co-Directors: Dr. Keith Allen and/or Dr. Susan Swearer.
-
Please send official copies of ALL Graduate transcripts to the AAPI Online Service. Do not send undergraduate transcripts.
-
In addition, please complete the NICPP SUPPLEMENTAL FORM, including a selection of up to four Consortium sites. Information on the Consortium with links to each site is available at: www.unl.edu/nicpp/index.shtml. After completion of the NICPP SUPPLEMENTAL FORM, please upload it as a supplement to the on-line AAPI Application. The four agencies that are selected will receive a copy of your application file.
All Consortium Application materials must be uploaded by November 2, 2009. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
Employment will be contingent on satisfactory completion of a background check.
Interviews will be conducted only with those applicants invited by the Consortium. Two interview dates are arranged by the Consortium. Interviews for prospective interns in 2010-2011 will be held on January 8th and January 15th, 2010. Open houses at the various sites will be on January 7th and January 14th, 2010. While it is strongly recommended that applicants try to attend one of the Consortium interview days and the Open houses, we recognize that this may not be feasible for all applicants. Opportunities for phone interviews and alternate on-site interview dates are not guaranteed and are made available at the discretion of the site-based Training Director. Applicants who are unable to attend the interview days, or who would like to schedule a phone interview, should contact the site-based Training Director(s) and the NICPP Administrative Assistant (Emily Burgess) to discuss whether an alternative interview date can be arranged.
