Biotechnology Education
Dan Duncan
and
Bob Meduna
This began as a small demonstration project intended for one secondary school and grew into a project that links dozen of individuals, organizations and varied curriculum. Teachers from 19 middle schools and high schools in six counties were trained to incorporate biotechnology instructional units into the science curriculm. Lesson plans and hands-on activities were developed, and a mobile greenhouse was set up for hydroponics studies. A Web site was established for teachers to communicate with each other.
