    Marketing the Learning Center

    Co-Leaders:

      Noel Stanley

    About the Project ...:

The project mounts a campaign to inform the 160,000 citizens of northeast and north central Nebraska of the opening of the Lifelong Learning Center in Norfolk, Nebraska, which was dedicated in March 1998. The Center is developed through partnerships with the University of Nebraska, Wayne State College, Northeast Community College and Educational Service Unit #8. It houses classrooms, interactive technology, and access to information networks.

    Accomplishments

Marketing materials produced through this project informed citizens in northeast Nebraska about the programs and services offered by the Lifelong Learning Center. Materials included a dedication tabloid, two tabloids with course offerings and class schedules, brochures and a multimedia presentation. These materials helped set the stage for 800 activities during the first year of the Center's operation.

Also, it was agreed that partners in the Center will contribute funds to continue these marketing efforts. Partners are Northeast Community College, Wayne State College, University of Nebraska, Madison County Extension, and Lower Elkhorn Natural Resource District.
