Students who are challenged or disadvantaged in various ways will benefit from PLAY
Camp (Positive Learning Activities for Youth), a program offered by the F Street
Recreation Center in Lincoln. A five-day, 1,000-mile road trip across Nebraska during the
camp provided elementary students with the opportunity to study the history, culture
and agriculture of the state. Learning occurred both before and after the trip as
students researched, then documented their travels with cameras, journals and audio
tapes, and as they formed relationships with students from western Nebraska.
