    The History of NN21

    NN21's Origins

The University of Nebraska was one of thirteen higher education change efforts funded in 1994 by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. In its first phase, more than 800 Nebraskans held discussions that led to the vision of NN21. This vision drives NN21 activities now. NN21's goal is to meet the learning needs of all Nebraskans by 2020.

NN21 is a statewide endeavor involving the University of Nebraska, the state colleges, and the community colleges. That is why this initiative is called the Nebraska Network for the 21st Century, or NN21.
