Special Operations Platoon and Endurance Team

Spec Ops Platoon is comprised of Navy Option Midshipman with an interest in special operations and S.E.A.L. training. The primary mission of Spec Ops Platoon is to prepare its members for the intense physical demands of BUDS and mini BUDS. Members participate in various activities including drownproofing and other intense swim training. Lastly, all candidates interested in the platoon are required to complete a formal indoctrination known as Super Frog before they are officially recognized as members.

During the Spring there is an Annual Commando Endurance Skills Competition (CESC) hosted by the Texas A&M SEAL Platoon. So that Marine Options may also parcipate in this event the Spec Ops Platoon often trains and competes in a joint Endurance Team composed of both Navy and Marine option Midshipmen.
