I am a first-generation, and non-traditional, college student with a passion for working with first-generation, low-income and minority students. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and I have a 6 year old daughter.
A native of Nebraska, I did my undergraduate work here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with two minors in African American Studies and Ethnic Studies. I am currently working on my master’s degree in educational administration. My current research passions are to understand multiracial student experiences, and how to make their experience on college campuses better. My current position at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center is as a Graduate Assistant for Promising Scholars.
