A variety of OASIS programs are aimed at improving academic success and recognizing academic excellence including NU Connections, Promising Scholars, Chancellor’s Scholars, and the W.E.B. Du Bois Honor Society.

    • NU Connections is designed to connect Diversity Enhancement Scholarship and Nebraska Achievement Scholar recipients to resources on and off-campus. NU Connections students are paired with a peer consultant, attend a student success seminar, and are linked with a professional staff member to build a plan for academic success.
    • Promising Scholars: The Promising Scholars program offers an opportunity for first-year students to develop a community focused on building a strong foundation at UNL. Scholars are provided tools to assist in their academic success, work one-on-one with professional staff, participate in a student success seminar and a variety of workshops, and HAVE FUN!
    • Chancellor's Scholars: Chancellor's Scholars are invited to work one-on-one with professional staff dedicated to assisting them with developing an academic success plan to meet or exceed the GPA requirements of their scholarship. Scholars attend a student success seminar, are linked with other high ability students, participate in social activities, and work together to acheive success.
    • W. E. B. Du Bois Honor Society: The Honor Society seeks to honor the memory of Dr. William Edward Burghardt Du Bois by promoting the pursuit of academic excellence in all fields of higher education, to engage in service to others and to recognize the outstanding achievements of W. E. B. Du Bois Honor Society members.
