My full name is Joél Orozco-Almeida and I was born and raised in the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. I first came to the United States about eight years ago where I lived in the state of Colorado until the Summer of 2013 when I moved to the state of Nebraska to begin my graduate work in Education Administration with a Student Affairs concentration here at UNL. I did my undergraduate work at Metropolitan State University of Denver with a major in Behavioral Science and a minor in Sociology. I am a first generation student and one of my goals is to pursue a career in multicultural affairs at a Hispanic Serving Institution. My hobbies include recreational sports, going to the movies, and Latin dancing.
